This month we are launching our new bulletin for the Ramon Marull philately collection.
This month we are launching our new bulletin for the Ramon Marull philately collection. Digitally published on a quarterly basis, the bulletin will feature articles on different items in the collection, as well as a news section and announcements about all the upcoming events and fairs linked with philately and the history of the postal service.
The first issue of the e-bulletin will include a section featuring articles on the collection’s Chinese stamps. Our contributor Eulàlia Jardí will guide us through the postal history of China – a journey through time and space that will help readers to understand how the Chinese postal system was organised, by studying a range of stamps, from colonial times up to the creation of the country’s own postal service. When you read the three articles, take a good look at the selection of stamps located beneath each one. They are all taken from the Gabinet Postal collection.
The bulletin’s news section will bring you up to date on the main historical events being commemorated and, on a more philatelic note, the important series that are being issued. Did you know that this year is the 175th anniversary of the creation of the postage stamp? All this and more you will find in this section, to keep you updated on all the latest news and new features.
The last section in the bulletin is our Agenda, a calendar of events, exhibitions and fairs devoted to philately. It will include all the most important activities in this area, at home and abroad. And of course, we also want to encourage all you local associations and entities linked with philately and postal history to let us know about your exhibitions. We would be delighted to publicise them through our Agenda!!
