Stamp issued to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the battle of Arras, a city in northern France that was on the front line during the First World War, and where various clashes resulted in the deaths of many soldiers. Stamp issued in Czechoslovakia, a republic created in 1918 as one of the successor states to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which was dissolved after the end of the aforementioned war
