A series of open-air establishments located between the Palau de la Virreina and the Pla de la Boqueria that have been operating stably for more than 200 years.
Although there is evidence that in the 13th century there were already flower vendors on the Rambla, the first established stalls date from 1853. Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries there were many flower stalls on the Rambla, but they have been declining with the passage of time as it is a space increasingly frequented by tourists.
In the past, stalls consisted of trestles and wooden planks, and plants and flowers were placed on top of them. Each day, the vendors put up and took down the stall and stored all the material in warehouses located on streets near the Rambla. It was in the sixties when fixed stalls were established with the necessary services for commercial activity. The stalls were completely refurbished in the 1990s.
