The Municipal Institute of Markets of Barcelona is the autonomous body, dependent on Barcelona City Council, which manages and administers the city’s municipal markets.

The action of the IMMB is mainly focused on the improvement and maintenance of infrastructures, the commercial and service modernisation and the dynamism of the relationship between the markets and their surroundings in the neighbourhoods.
