In this concert, Luis Codera Puzo presents two solo pieces that he himself performs. The composer will show more than just his role as a musician, with an approach to composition conditioned by the intimacy of the two instruments he has taken on as his own.

Las declinaciones, for solo guitar, is a work based on repeated notes which, through small variations, generate the entire piece. The title refers to the Roman poet Titus Lucretius Carus’s concept of how atoms undergo various ‘declinations’ or swerves with respect to their predicted movements.

Las enumeraciones, for modular synthesiser, is a sonic journey through diverse situations, both intimate and massive. The piece focuses on sounds that take place in specific and fragile synthesiser configurations that are constantly on the verge of changing, on the verge of disappearing. The piece explores the world of reiteration, not only with repeated notes, but also with beats and vibrations produced by various techniques and physical phenomena.
