The sessions will always include a time of live music by the author himself or by guest musicians for the occasion.
Shows, parties and entertainment in the Barcelona of musical classicism
At the end of the 18th century Barcelona was enjoying itself to the rhythm of the contradansa and minuet, the scores of Mozart, Haydn and Pleyel arrived punctually from Vienna, Italian musicians were admired at the theatre and in the aristocratic salons and the melodies of Goyesque inspiration marked the local fashion.
We will walk through a city that boasted of popular shows and entertainment, with vowels advertising fresh produce, cafés displaying exotic animals and the smell of chocolate waste escaping from the palaces of the walled city.
With musical illustrations by Pepe Reche and Gerard Serrano, a horn duo.
