The Barcelona Commerce Prize
Barcelona is a dynamic, creative and open city, recognised throughout Europe for its wide-ranging cultural and business offering. This includes its commerce and associations, which represent a source of wealth and are a vital part of the city‘s life. Year after year, Barcelona‘s commerce shows it to be one of our city‘s key stakeholders, by providing cohesion for the city‘s neighbourhoods, attending to the needs of local residents and increasing its presence in the digital world.
Barcelona City Council‘s Directorate of Commerce, Catering and Consumption wishes to recognise our retailers’ contribution to the city. It is thus organising the 24th edition of the Barcelona Commerce Prize, combined with the Barcelona Markets Prize. There are six categories in the awards.
The Most Innovative Commercial Establishment of the Year
Recognising a business initiative that has made a notable contribution to the city‘s commerce sector, with a project that represents Barcelona‘s commerce as a new business model.
Local Commerce Prize
Recognising a commercial establishment which, through its position and identity, carries out a social function as well as being a vital feature of the urban area. Key aspects in this category include: uniqueness, territorial reference, vocation for service and collaboration networks.
The Albert González Prize for contribution to the promotion and dissemination of the city‘s commerce
Recognising a professional, business person or employee who, through their professional work or leadership, contributes or has contributed to the development, improvement, reinvigoration or promotion of Barcelona‘s commerce in the urban area and its inherent values: proximity, innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
Sustainable Commerce Prize
Recognising a commercial establishment whose activity (product, sales or production processes and service) includes good practices and a commitment to co-responsibility, proximity and diversity in regard to its customers and the territory.
Emblematic Establishment Prize
