Draw sounds and set spellings

19.10.2024

Workshop exploring between languages! Come and play unusual instruments by experimenting with drawing and representing sound.

In this activity we propose a playful dialogue between graphic and musical languages, exploring the sounds of the Balinese gamelan and some Après-Baschet instruments such as the Cristall. We will look for possible relationships between the qualities of the visual elements point, line, plane, structure, color with the sound intensity, duration, tonality, dynamics, timbre, harmony, counterpoint… Everyone will be able to draw what we hear and musically interpret the drawings.

Recommended age: from 5 years.
