Presentation of the book: 'Isaac Albéniz. Escritos'

30.05.2024

Presentation of the first volume of the complete writings of Isaac Albéniz, in a critical edition made and commented by Dr. Lluís Rodríguez Salvà, and published by Ficta Edicions with the support of the Robert Gerhard Center for the promotion and dissemination of Catalan musical heritage.

This publication, which brings together for the first time the author’s personal writings, includes the chronicles of the trips to Hungary (1880) and Prague (1897), as well as scattered writings that range from autobiographical notes and notes to aphorisms and brief notes.

The figure of Isaac Albéniz (Camprodon 1860-Cambo-les-Bains 1909) is one of the most significant contributions in the history of Spanish music. The presentation of this volume brings new light to his legacy.

Participating:
Bernat Cabré, editor of Ficta Edicions
Lluís Rodríguez Salvà, author of the critical edition

Introduced by:
Jordi Alomar, director of the Museu de Música
