Behind the Slight Deform name there’s two Gràcia Territori Sonor’s old acquaintances that will open LEM 2024: Clara Lai and Ferran Fages. One at the piano and the other on the guitar, they’ve released three albums during the past few years, the latter of which is ‘Still Life #2’ (2024). A quasi-minimalistic work, consciously relaxed, reverberating and that builds an alternate universe in the «intimate border laid between chromatic bells» thanks to their extraordinary complicity. An onirical, mysterious, ressonating and very deep project that hooks the listener in the world of sonic hues of two of the country’s great experimentators.
PELAYO ARRIZABALAGA & ELI GRAS (Laredo / Gràcia) - 21 h
To talk about the Pelayo Arrizabalaga-Eli Gras duo is to explain the union of two of the Iberian Peninsula’s leading experimental artists. Arrizabalaga was a member of the legendary Clónicos and has worked with dozens of artists during his 40+ years on stage. Gras, on the other hand, is an experimental luthier, a conceptual ironmonger and the driving force behind a long list of projects and works both solo and with bands such as Motor Combo or Ome Acustics. Their latest join album, ‘Áridos’, is thei second. A reflection of their evolution as artists during the last ten years where they play weird sound devices along with traditional instruments and altered records.
