II Organology Conference

23.01.2025 to 25.01.2025
  • II Organology Conference

The second Organology Conference of the Museu de la Música presents an edition focused on the current debates and challenges in the study of musical instruments. From the study of the soundscapes of prehistory to digital luthiery, through the gamelan of the 1889 Paris Universal Exhibition or the unusual instruments of the Baschet brothers, the annual organology event in Barcelona is held in collaboration with the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC).

With the aim of reaching a diverse audience and embracing the multiplicity of perspectives from which the study of instruments can be approached, the program includes presentations on instruments and areas of the Museum's collections, communications, practical workshops and visits, given by renowned specialists in research, construction, composition and restoration, many of them regular collaborators of the Museum.

Those interested in obtaining a certificate of attendance can request it by emailing reservesmuseu@auditori.cat, providing their personal details (name, surname and identity document).

For more information: reservesmuseu@auditori.cat or call 93 256 36 50.
