Waste. The process will be completed in stages, starting with the section between the streets of Vilamarí and Comte Borrell.
Containers will be installed in July, September and October, after they were taken away for work to be completed on the green street of Consell de Cent. The waste containers will be returned gradually in four stages, each covering five streets.
The section between Vilamarí and Comte Borrell is the first section to get its containers back after they were removed for the work on Consell de Cent. Fifteen selective waste containers will be installed, along with 14 for other waste. With the organic waste containers that remained in intersecting streets during the work, this part of the street regains its capacity from before the work.
Information and monitoring
A team of eight people will be providing support for people relating to the change in routines, with information on the new waste collection regime. Thorough monitoring will also address potential imbalances in service detected by cleaning teams and members of the public. Information staff will be on hand in the streets in each stage, starting a week before and continuing for a few days providing information and monitoring the service.
The second stage between Comte Borrell and Aribau starts in mid-September, followed by the third stage between Aribau and Pau Claris and finally the section between Pau Claris and Pg. Sant Joan. The containers are all expected to be in place by mid-October.
