02/12/2025 - 16:00h
Mexico Salon I, Hotel Barceló
Aurelio Major, Mauricio Tenorio, Josep María Fradera, Sonia Hernández
Two great historians and two eminent writers, all with professional and personal careers that link Mexico and Barcelona, meet to discuss the historical and cultural ties between the two cities. From the colonial past to the transformations of the 20th century, the Civil War, and the intense cultural exchange exemplified by figures such as Octavio Paz, this session reviews the stories of comings and goings, mutual influences, exchanges, and perhaps also the disagreements that have united the two cities for half a millennium.
