The works, which respected the façade, in which only the closing wooden panels were replaced by the glass that can be seen today, were carried out between 1994 and 1995. They served to equip the facility with a set of infrastructures. Thus, two underground floors were built, to house the storeroom, the loading and unloading bays, the rubbish collection and recycling service and a car park.

Regarding the interior of the market, the refurbishment represented a total change, with the installation of new paving, sewerage service, new electrical and lighting installations, automatic doors and new and spacious stalls.
