Art once again fills the Barri Gòtic’s shop windows
Shops. The “Aparadors artístics” route is available until 3 June.
The second edition of the “Aparadors artístics” route offers some twenty artistic interventions, up to 3 June, made by well-known prestigious artists —hailing from the visual arts, the performing arts, films and literature — in several Barri Gòtic shop windows, located along C/ Petritxol, C/ el Pi, C/ la Palla and C/ Banys Nous i en alguns carrers adjacents.
Aimed at promoting the importance of shop windows as spaces for commerce and dialogue with city residents, the project is being launched by Barna Centre, produced by the cultural publication Hänsel i Gretel, supported by the Councillor’s Office for Tourism and Creative Industries at Barcelona City Council and funded with proceeds from the Tax on Tourist Stays.
The shops taking part are Accent Created Diamonds, Antiguitats Olga de Sandoval, Atelier de Ballerinas, Casa Jornet, Conesa, Espai Quera, Fargas Xocolateria, Fly Shop Salmon 2000, Fortune Cat, Joieria Petritxol, Joieria Sant, Marcs Petritxol, Miret 1919, Restaurant Immersió, Rossana Barcelona, Sala Parés, Up Headwear, Vamvaki, Villa del Arte and YellowKorner.
The list of artists involved in it include Didier Lourenço, Gino Rubert, Guillem Trius, Jacint Todó, Jaime Pitarch, Jaime Serra, Joan Fontcuberta, Laia Noal, Lara Fluxà, Lluís Lleó, Marcos Cárdenas, Mari Ito, Mercedes Pimiento, Miguel Rasero, Núria Güell, Pedro Torres, Pep Agut, Perico Pastor, Rosa Tharrats and Stella Rahola.
