The ceremony is one of the highlights for the Barcelona Cocktail Experience, involving more than 150 bars from all over the city.

From 30 September to 9 October, Barcelona brings together the planet’s finest bartenders along with over 150 establishments (90 cocktail bars and 50 hotels) devoted to the world of cocktails. The event offers a large number of activities organised by the sponsors and the establishments themselves. Barcelona Cocktail Experience features a daytime programme and a night-time one, making it the most important cocktail event in the Spanish state over the course of ten days for this opening edition.

With a strong training programme, the BCE Cocktail Village is being held at the Palau Dalmases on 2 and 3 October and provides a meeting point for professionals and cocktail lovers: pop-ups, workshops and an exclusive tasting for enthusiasts are just some of the activities in store.

International guest bartenders at the BCE include Patrick Pistolesi (Drink Kong, Rome), Salvatore Calabrese (The Maestro, The Donovan Bar, London), the team from 1930 (Milan), the team from Maybe Sammy (Sydney), Thanos Prunarus and the team from Baba Au Rum (Athens), Jean Trinh, Alquímico (Cartagena), the team from Salmon Guru (Madrid) and others.

In the events zone there’s a chance to see the presentation of the new cocktail menu for Paradiso and Galileo, along with some other surprises.

Awards ceremony for The World’s 50 Best Bars

The highlight of this ten-day event is the awards ceremony for The World’s Best 50 Bars, which is being held outside London for the first time since it started in 2002. The ceremony brings together representatives from all over the world, with the BCE also set to host over a thousand guests.
