The Barcelona City Council has participated in the round table entitled ‘Managing Destinations: Overcoming Overtourism’ within the programme coordinated and presented by the lecturer Harold Goodwin, World Travel Market’s Responsible Tourism advisor. The debate revolved around overtourism and the new policies to manage the visitor economy.
The Economic Promotion Manager at the Barcelona City Council, Miquel Rodriguez Planas, participated in the round table along with Vincent Nijs, chief strategist at Visit Flanders; Silvia Moggia from The Data Appeal Company of Florence; and Emanuele Moggia, Mayor of Monterosso al Mare in Cinque Terre, Italy.
