Barcelona talent at the ISE to boost the local audiovisual sector
Economy and business. The city’s business and academic network presents the latest in the audiovisual sector.
A boost for the local audiovisual industry as the city’s education and business ecosystem in this sector takes part in Integrated Systems Europe, the world’s leading audiovisuals fair which turns Barcelona into a huge showcase for avant-garde audio and visual products and solutions. The fair is on from 31 January to 3 February and contributes to the city’s international profile, in a sector which currently has 57.1% of its jobs and 61.7% of its employers in Catalonia.
The city’s own space at the fair introduces the municipal services, resources and programmes available to local and international businesses in the audiovisual sector.
There’s also a unique immersive audiovisual installation for people attending the fair to take part in. By scanning people’s images, they can enter Barcelona virtually and form part of the city’s most iconic places.
The stand also features a forum and a space for talks about topical subjects. This is being used to present the different programmes from Barcelona Activa, such as Connectio, Creamedia, the services of the Busines Support Offic (OAE), the Barcelona International Welcome Desk and Digital Impact, the digital arts exhibition being held at the Disseny Hub Barcelona in the spring.
Barcelona Activa is also bringing ten leading companies in this sector to display projects linked to virtual and augmented reality, 3D visualisation, blockchain technology, the metaverse, immersive experiences and more. The companies at ISE 2023 thanks to Barcelona Activa are: Estudio Gurugú, Reality Telling; Inmersia, Brickken, Immersium Studio, Pixeldreams, Union Avatars, Wildbytes, Univrse and Broomx.
The Catalan Audiovisual Cluster are also presenting the latest from the main companies and institutions in the Catalan audiovisual industry. Companies in the cluster will be addressing two key trends in the sector: the revolution of virtual production sets through LED screens and the promotion of increasingly real and immersive live experiences.
