BSM renews its certificate guaranteeing safety against Covid-19
COVID-19. Barcelona de Serveis Municipals was the first public company in the Spanish state to gain the Global Safe Site certificate.
Sites and services operated by Barcelona de Serveis Municipals (BSM) have satisfied the requisites to renew their Global Safe Site certificate. The certificate accredits compliance with required prevention procedures on hygiene, safety, cleaning and disinfection in the face of the pandemic.
The Global Safe Site certificate was developed by Bureau Veritas, a global leader in lab tests, inspections and certification. BSM has managed to attain the Excellence qualification, which means that besides complying with the measures set out by the Ministry for Health and the World Health Organization (WHO), the facilities guarantee that clinical trials have been conducted with samples taken from surfaces at the sites, verifying the correct application of cleaning and disinfection processes.
BSM was the first public company in the Spanish state to obtain these certificates, in June 2020. The sites and services certified are: the network of BSM car parks, bus stations, AREA on-street parking, the Municipal Tow Service, the Olympic Ring, the Parc del Fòrum, Barcelona Zoo, the Olympic Port, Park Güell, Civic Officers, Cementiris de Barcelona, the BSM headquarters and corporate services.
