Sixty-eight of Barcelona’s hotels will be holding 160 cultural and culinary activities from 2 to 11 June to welcome in the summer on their terraces.

This year’s Barcelona Hotel Terrace Week, now in its eleventh edition, is from 2 to 11 June and has been organised by the Hotels Guild in collaboration with Barcelona City Council.

This new edition will be in full form, with 68 hotels taking part, offering 160 cultural and culinary activities, open and free to all the city’s residents.

As described by the Chair of the Barcelona Hotels Guild himself, Jordi Clos, ‘It’s extraordinary, a year on, to be able to invite everyone in Barcelona to enjoy the city’s hotel terraces and celebrate with us one of the city’s most iconic and long-awaited initiatives.’ In fact, the total number of people taking part in all its previous editions comes to 350,000.

Jordi Clos adds here that ‘Hotel terraces are full of life, culture and gastronomy and boast unbeatable views of Barcelona. We are extremely proud that our neighbours can enjoy them with us.’

MésQHotels,

Barcelona Hotel Terrace Week is an initiative run under the umbrella of MésQHotels, the Barcelona Hotels leisure guide, a Barcelona Hotels Guild project launched in 2010 and which aims to bring the city’s residents and visitors to these establishments through the publication of their events and activities in their entertainment spaces.

The full programme will be published on the www.mesqhotels.cat website and updated daily, so city residents can keep abreast with all the activities on offer.

All Hotel Terrace Week activities also come with a free app: ‘Diskover’

All this year’s activities taking place during Hotel Terrace Week can be checked out from the free ‘Diskover’ app, which connects city residents to the event’s surroundings, culture and activities in real time.
