Fourth Barcelona Restaurant Awards ceremony
Restaurants. Recognition for restaurants that have contributed with values such as integration, quality of life, sustainability, innovation and moving with the times.
The Barcelona Restaurant Awards recognise establishments that have stood out in the last year for their ties with local neighbourhoods and values such as integration, quality of life, sustainability, innovation and moving with the times. The awards ceremony for the fourth edition was held at the old Estrella Damm factory.
The winners were:
- Award for gastronomic quality: Alapar, in the district of Sants-Montjuïc, for “being an avant-garde and quality gastronomic establishment representing the most cosmopolitan side of the city”.
- Award for neighbourhood integration: Quimet d’Horta, in Horta-Guinardó, for “being an almost centenarian establishment, role model and centre of gravity for the neighbourhood”.
- Award for famed and innovative establishment: Roots & Rolls, in L’Eixample, for “the singularity of its concept and capacity for transferring happiness, creativity and Asian flavours to the premises”.
There were also honorary mentions for: El Cafè del Centre and Pere Chias, restauranteur and chair of the Restaurant Guild for nine years.
The award for sustainability went to the restaurant La Forquilla, in Nou Barris.
