In 2024, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) and Turisme de Barcelona are once again running the Barcelona Christmas Tour, for what will be the sixth consecutive year. It’s a night-time tour on a double-decker bus where you can be dazzled by the city’s landmarks and spaces all decked out for Christmas with decorations and lights. Last year more than 9,000 people enjoyed the Christmas tour.

This festive season, the Barcelona Christmas Tour will start on 29 November, operating from Monday to Sunday until 4 January. This year, the route will run through the city’s main streets and avenues, such as Passeig de Gràcia, Plaça de Catalunya and Passeig de Sant Joan, and past Barcelona’s most iconic buildings.

The bus tour is great for enjoying the Christmas lights in comfort on the upper deck of a Bus Turístic and at the same time discovering Catalan Christmas traditions, with guides providing on-board explanations in Catalan, English, or Spanish during the 80-minute trip.

The Barcelona Christmas Tour, which was first launched in 2019, will be operating between four and six trips a day (depending on demand) at 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm. There will be no service on 24, 25 or 31 December, or on 1 January, and departures will be from the Barcelona Bus Turístic stop in Plaça de Catalunya (on the Llobregat side, opposite El Triangle).

The tour will take in monuments and landmarks all decked out with Christmas lights such as Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, Passeig de Gràcia, the Sant Pau Barcelona Art Nouveau Site, the Sagrada Familia, Passeig de Sant Joan, the Arc de Triomf, the Columbus Monument, Avinguda Paral-lel, Gran Via, Plaça Universitat, Roger de Llúria, Aragó, Balmes and Pelayo streets, and finish back in Plaça de Catalunya.

Tickets for the Barcelona Christmas Tour are now available, and can be booked through the usual channels until sold out : www.holabarcelona.com and tickets.visitbarcelona.com. You can enhance your tour experience with atmospheric music, with the playlist of Christmas songs created especially for the occasion on TMB’s Spotify profile
