Commerce and markets. Streets, squares, markets and shopping hubs will be offering free concerts in February and March.

Music returns to Barcelona’s streets, squares, markets and shopping hubs on Saturdays, with a new edition of Sons de Ciutat, the initiative to foster culture and free tine in shopping areas. The spring edition includes thirty stages with small-format concerts to enjoy during February and March.

The programme for Sons de Primavera includes 34 activities around the ten districts, starting on 4 February in four city venues. The wide array of musical styles range from rap to funk, pop, soul and jazz, the goal being to promote economic and commercial vitality through Barcelona’s rich music culture.

The first edition of Sons de Ciutat was held in the autumn and carried on with a special programme at Christmas, in December and January. In all, the initiative will have offered 200 musical performances around twenty city venues.
