The Directorates of Beaches and Gender Service and Time Policies are organising an exploratory walk for women at the Fòrum bathing area, with the aim of finding solutions that will make the area safer and more people-friendly.
Exploratory walks are a participative, dynamic feminist methodology involving meetings and visits on foot by a group of people, normally local residents or people who use the area concerned. By walking around the neighbourhood where they live, work or do other activities, they identify all the aspects of the urban space that affect our perceptions of safety or of insecurity (urban quality, the management of public spaces and the improvement of our everyday lives, for example).
We would like you to accompany us on this walk around the Fòrum bathing area, so that we can gather impressions, opinions and suggestions from local residents and others who use the area.
The walk is taking place on Thursday 8 September, from 4 pm to 5:30 pm, starting at the Fòrum bathing area’s lifeguard station. If you have any queries, please contact us at transversalitat_genere@bcn.cat.
