Two participatory meetings are being held on 21 and 22 September to explain to local residents what the green corridors and squares will be like that are going to be created next year in Eixample, in the framework of the Barcelona Superblock framework. These meetings will be face to face and open to everyone but can only be attended by prior registration from Decidim Barcelona.
Eixample will be starting its transformation next year, with public works turning part of C/ Consell de Cent, C/ Rocafort, C/ Comte Borrell and C/ Girona into green corridors; four new large green squares will also be created at the intersections between C/ Consell de Cent and C/ Rocafort, C/ Comte Borrell, C/ Enric Granados and C/ Girona.
The process is being carried out with local residents, retailers and associations from the neighbourhoods affected, hence the two participatory days being held on 21 and 22 September with the aim of presenting the blueprints of these green corridors and squares. The aim of the meetings is to gather everyone’s opinion and incorporation their contributions into the final draft of the plans for these new areas, thereby enabling Eixample to have more priority spaces for pedestrians, with new resting and games places and more greenery.
Each of the meetings will be aimed at local residents form a specific area in Eixample. Both are open to everyone but will require prior booking from this platform Decidim.Barcelona.
