Permanent management commissions for cases of gender-based violence
These commissions are multi-disciplinary spaces for the permanent coordination of services, with territorial links to the district, for dealing with possible cases of gender-based violence.
The aim is to establish intervention strategies designed in a coordinated way in order to ensure that women and their children (if applicable) who are victims of gender violence are protected and connected to the city's care network, as well as to pre-empt acts of violence.
The members of the commissions include Barcelona's Guàrdia Urbana [city] police force, the Mossos d’Esquadra police force, the Primary Care Social Services, the Care, Recovery and Shelter Service (SARA), the Women's Support and Information Points (PIAD), the Men's Support Service (SAH), the district's prevention specialist team and the Prevention Services Department.
