Changes in mobility for the Moritz Sant Antoni Fun Run
Sunday 26 January brings the 46th edition of the Moritz Sant Antoni Fun Run, one of the oldest competitions in the city. Traffic will be disrupted from 5 am to 1.30 pm approximately in the streets where the different runs take place. Several bus services will also be affected.
The route for the main event (10 km), starting at 9 am, is as follows:
Floridablanca – Casanova – Sepúlveda – Entença – Gran Via CC central section (1st and 2nd lane of the central section using the bus lane with traffic cones) between Entença and Rambla Catalunya – Gran Via CC (side nearest the sea between Rbla. Catalunya and Pg. de Gràcia) – Gran Via CC central section (1st and 2nd lane of the central section using the bus lane with traffic cones) between Pg. de gràcia and Pl. Tetuán – Passeig Sant Joan descending side – Rda. Sant Pere – Pl. Urquinaona central section- Ronda Sant Pere – Pl. Catalunya side nearest the mountains (one traffic lane with cones from Passeig de Gràcia to Balmes, side nearest the sea for exiting car parking Pl. Catalunya) – Rda. Universitat – Pl. Universitat (side nearest the sea in the direction of the Llobregat) – Rda. Sant Antoni (in the direction of the Llobregat + one lane in the direction of the Besós with traffic cones from Pl. Goya to Floridablanca) – Floridablanca (in the opposite direction)– Compte Urgell (in the opposite direction) – Ronda Sant Pau (in the opposite direction) – Marqués del Campo Sagrado – Viladomat (in the opposite direction) – Parlament (in the opposite direction) – Av. Paral·lel (in the direction of the Llobregat) – Entença – Gran Via CC (two central lanes, side nearest the sea) – Comte d’Urgell (in the opposite direction) – Floridablanca (in the opposite direction).
The adapted 5 km run follows and will use the same streets as the 10 km route. There will then be six runs over shorter distances, using parts of the same streets. The last event concludes around 1.30 pm.
The first road closure comes at 5 am in C/ Floridablanca, between Rocafort and Compte Urgell. Later, at 7.20 am, the section of Rda. Sant Pere with Girona will be closed to traffic. From 8.30 am the whole circuit will be completely isolated from traffic.
Parking
Parking will not be allowed in the following places from 6 am on Saturday to 2 pm on Sunday (including motorcycles on pavements):
- Floridablanca, side nearest the mountains, between Rocafort and Villaroel.
- Floridablanca – Rocafort (all four corners).
- Floridablanca – Calàbria (all four corners).
- Floridablanca – Viladomat (all four corners).
- Floridablanca – Comte Borrell (all four corners).
- Floridablanca – Comte d’Urgell (all four corners).
- Rocafort, both sides, between Floridablanca and Sepúlveda.
- Rda. Sant Pere, between Girona and Bruc, side nearest the sea.
Vehicles that remain parked in these street sections despite the signs will be removed by the tow truck service.
- Floridablanca, from Entença to Rda. Sant Antoni.
- Casanova, from Floridablanca to Sepúlveda.
- Sepúlveda, from Casanova to Entença.
- Entença, from Av. Paral·lel to Gran Via CC.
- Gran Via CC from Entença to Pl. Tetuan (lanes marked with traffic cones).
- Pl. Tetuán side nearest the sea.
- Passeig Sant Joan descending side of Pl. Tetuán to Ronda Sant Pere.
- Rda. Sant Pere from Passeig Sant Joan to Pl.Urquinaona.
- Pl. Urquinaona central section in the direction of the Llobregat.
- Ronda Sant Pere from Pl. Urquinaona to Pl. Catalunya.
- Pl. Catalunya side nearest the mountains (one traffic lane with cones from Passeig de Gràcia to Balmes side nearest the sea for exiting car parking in Pl. Catalunya).
- Rda. Universitat (one traffic lane for exits from parking).
- Pl. Universitat (side nearest the sea in the direction of the Llobregat).
- Rda. Sant Antoni (Llobregat side), from Sepúlveda to the pedestrian crossing in front of Rda. Sant Antoni, 39.
- Floridablanca, from Casanova to Comte d’Urgell.
- Compte Urgell from Manso to Gran Via C.C.
- Rda. Sant Pau, from Manso to Marqués del Campo Sagrado.
- Marqués del Campo Sagrado, from Rda. Sant Pau to Viladomat.
- Viladomat, from Marqués del Campo Sagrado to Parlament.
- Parlament, from Viladomat to Paral·lel.
- Av. Paral·lel. from Parlament to Entença.
Public transport
The following bus services will be affected and will be diverted or have their routes limited on Sunday from 5 am to 1.30pm: D20, D50, H12, H14, H16, V9, V11, V13, V15, V17, V19, 7, 13, 19, 21, 22, 24, 39, 47, 54, 55, 59, 63, 67, 120, 121, 141 and Barcelona Bus Turístic (blue and red routes).
People are advised to get the starting point with the metro, getting off in Urgell (L1) or Sant Antoni (L2).
