Technology at the service of security

As part of the Smart City Expo World Congress, the City Police will be part of a talk on Thursday (11 am) on bodycams worn by officers to record situations where people’s physical integrity may be at risk or public assets damaged, the goal being to improve the quality offered by police services. Images recorded with bodycams are fully protected against any sort of modification or manipulation.

The Barcelona Fire Service will also be taking part in the congress and offering a talk about their A30 vehicle at 12 noon on Thursday. It is particularly suitable for service requirements in lengthy or more complex incidents. It also allows for command work and the sharing of updated tactical situations with the operational centre in real time.

Display of zero-emissions vehicles

During the congress, the City Police will be displaying one of its all-terrain electric motorbikes, a zero-emissions vehicles with a range of 146 kilometres which makes the mobility of officers more sustainable for surveillance in woodlands and in urban parks. The bike also offers greater protection for officers and features priority signage and GPS.
