Both corps will be present at the festival from 27 to 31 December, in Plaça Univers at the trade fair site in Montjuïc.

The Barcelona Fire Service will be at the festival with PREvenim! an educational vehicle used by the Fire Service to provide advice on prevention and self-protection. The vehicle features the most usual equipment used to tackle fire and provide rescue services, enabling children to play as they learn how to prevent risks and avoid fires.

Children will also be able to try on the suits used by firefighters in each of their tasks, allowing them to feel like firefighters for a day.

From the City Police, the Mounted Unit will be taking part in the festival, enabling children to touch the horses and learn how the oldest unit of the corps works.

The Dog Section will be offering a display showing how these animals work in different police situations, and visitors can also learn to avoid risks on the roads with the help of the Safety Education Service and the Accident Prevention and Investigation Unit.

Commemoration of the Olympic Games

This year’s festival commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992 and includes 40 activities relating to sport, good food, creativity, the city and culture.

The Children’s Festival offers children and their families an inclusive space with fun and entertainment, with activities to foster healthy habits and values such as solidarity, civic behaviour, creativity, respect for diversity and the environment.

See you there!
