Some public libraries in Barcelona have laptops with office suites installed and wifi access for people to make free use of with a reservation.
This service is for users over the age of 14, or young children accompanied by an adult. Users can request one device per person. Devices may only be used inside the library building.
Those wishing to use the service must hold a library card.
To collect devices, users must show their library card and some valid form of ID. Devices and accessories must be returned in the same condition as they are received.
Users can take advantage of a maximum of 32 sessions at multimedia spaces. Each time a laptop is used, one session will be deducted. Loan periods are for up to a maximum of three consecutive sessions. Each session is a maximum of 60 minutes, starting on the hour.
Reserved devices are held for up to 30 minutes after the starting time. Once this time has elapsed, the reserved session expires, the session is lost and the terminal made available again.
Proper maintenance of the items loaned is the responsibility of the user.
Users can seek advice from support staff during the established hours.
