Marc Vilanova: Phonos

17.11.2022

Talk by Marc Vilanova, sound artist and saxophonist.

Marc Vilanova (1991) is a sound and visual artist whose work combines art, science and technology. His output is based on innovation, fuelled by an interest in new media. He merges research and artistic practice in projects that explore concepts such as the visualisation of sound, automation, the self-expression of machines, artificial intelligence and super-intelligence, as well as the social and political implications of the relationship between society and technology. The session will include a guided visit to the sound installation Phonos, a monumental structure that plays with the limits of our auditory perception.

This activity is part of cycle of talks “Musical instruments under study”
