Diplomas awarded for the first edition of the City Police project ‘Som eduviària’
The pilot project was carried out with students in their second year of secondary school at the Escola Mare de Déu del Roser Les Planes, in the district of Sarrià – Sant Gervasi.
Today sees the City Police award diplomas for the first edition of the pilot project for the road awareness and safety project ‘Som eduviària’, which started in April and will count as curricular education.
The initiative is a pilot learning service developed by the Safety Education Service (SES) operated by the City Police, with the social goal of preventing traffic accidents in the city through road awareness and education.
The learning service is an educational project combining learning and community service, where participants work on the real needs of their surroundings with the goal of improving them.
In this case, pupils studied the causes and effects of road accidents and the regulations on the circulation of bicycles and personal mobility vehicles. They then designed and facilitated an online workshop at the City Police Children’s Traffic Park, as well as a teaching resource to be used in schools to promote bicycle road safety.
