Bremen organises a virtual literary residency

Those interested have until 30 November to submit their application.

In order to promote literature in digital media, the Bremen Literaturhaus [virt.] eV association awards the Bremen Netzresidenz every two years as a three-month online grant at the virtual Literaturhaus Bremen.

The grant supports authors who have already published with a publisher. The focus of the grant will be on creative and critical engagement with current digital media. Emphasis is placed on the use of innovative literary or artistic methods.

The call will support digital literature projects that focus on an open exchange of literature. Authors from UNESCO Cities of Literature are particularly encouraged to apply with a project idea. There is time to do so until 30 November.

The grant is endowed with an amount of €2,500. The virtual residency at Literaturhaus Bremen will start on 1 March and end on 31 May 2025. As part of the grant, the recipient will create his or her own project website. After the residency period, the trainee will be invited to present the project at a literature festival in Bremen.

Applicants must send a brief outline of the project that convincingly presents the idea and specific implementations of the work they wish to develop. They must also attach a brief CV.
