This year 2024 they will join the Barcelona Crea Grants, as one of their modalities and maintaining their own name.
From the 2024 edition, the Montserrat Roig Writing Grants will be integrated into the Barcelona Crea Grants, as one of its modalities, maintaining its own name.
This modality is aimed at supporting artistic creation proposals in the field of writing, that is, in narrative, poetry, essay and chronicle, both fiction and non-fiction. The application period is open from 2 to 22 January.
The beneficiaries of a grant in this modality will be able to choose to have, for two months, a free space to develop the writing project that has been selected. Up to a maximum of 20 projects are eligible.
The spaces in which to develop the chosen writing project are made up of the following equipment:
– El Born Centre Cultural de Memòria
– Reial Acadèmia de les Bones Lletres
– Montjuïc Castle
– Biblioteca de Catalunya
– Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes
– Historical archive of the city of Barcelona
– Joan Miró Foundation
– Antoni Tàpies Foundation
The equipment will be assigned by the ICUB, depending on applications and availability.
