Guided tours to the Arús Public Library and the Sherlock Holmes Collection

Every Tuesday evening between July and September.

Do you know the Arús Library? It is almost 130 years old, and it was the first library that wanted to be called public, open and accessible to everyone, with an ambitious bibliographic collection that aimed to include a broad representation of the main facts and analyses of the knowledge and thought of the time. It was brought to the people of Barcelona with the intention of educating, informing and also entertaining. It also houses the Sherlock Holmes collection by Joan Proubasta, currently considered the most important private collection dedicated to the figure of Sherlock Holmes in Spain and one of the 10 most important in the world.

To find out more, every Tuesday evening throughout the summer you have the option of visiting the Arús Public Library accompanied by a guide. First you visit the Library, and then the collection around the mythical character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. At the end of the visit, a drink is served.

Every Tuesday there are four visits: at 7 p.m. one in Catalan and one in English, and at 8 p.m. one in Catalan and one in Spanish. Run by the company Cases Singulars.
