Barcelona Activa can offer resources, training and a specialised technical team, as well as experimentation and incubation spaces, to support social entrepreneurship with Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) values. All that at the service of people and organisations looking to make their first contact with the SSE or who already have projects under way.

Do you want to fund your project enterprise

Social and Solidarity Economy projects, initiatives and enterprises can access various funding mechanisms to strengthen their activity. Barcelona City Council offers yearly public subsidy calls, as well as credit and funding lines through ethical financing entities.

Do you want to consume responsibly with the SSE

Responsible consumption is a proposal to encourage individuals, groups and society in general to be aware of the effects of our consumption practices. Discover new habits that have positive effects both on our health and quality of life, as well as on the local economy, society and the environment, with a medium- and long-term view, and with both individual and collective responsibility and organisation.

Do you want to know more about the social and solidarity economy in Barcelona?

The Barcelona 2030 Social and Solidarity Economy Strategy (#ESSBCN2030 Strategy) is the result of collaboration between Barcelona's SSE community and municipal SSE policies, and their hard work and commitment. The #ESSBCN2030 establishes eight general strategic lines that challenge various economic sectors regarded as key for resolving the city’s main problems.

Highlights

The Social and Solidarity Economy is a set of formal or informal socio-economic measures, which may be individual or collective, that put satisfying people's needs before profit.

La Febrerada: SSE Celebration and Gathering

Spaces for debate, exchanging experiences, talks, and an afternoon with plenty of celebrating! La Febrerada, on 10 February.

A program to transform and encourage resilience to your companies and entities with practices and values of the Social and Solidarity Economy. Inscriptions until September 18.

Public policies to give a boost to the Social and Solidarity Economy

Barcelona City Council is committed to the SSE for the well-being of its citizens and also as a way of reviving and strengthening the economy for life in the city. It does so through public policies that set out the city's roadmap for the next 10 years.

The Barcelona 2030 Social and Solidarity Economy Strategy is the result of collaboration between Barcelona's SSE community and municipal SSE policies, and their hard work and commitment.

Booster plan

The PIESS 2021-2023 follows and adapts the roadmap set out by the #ESSBCN2030 STRATEGY while identifying, prioritising and applying the actions with the most impact on municipal public policy. Approximately €21.8 million will be allocated to it during the three years it will be in force.
