It is open from 7 pm to 1 am every Friday and Saturday, from 30 July to 28 August.
Located in the Front Marítim area (Passeig Marítim with Carrer Trelawny), the service aims to inform, raise awareness and assist in cases of gender violence, LGTBI-phobia or sexual violence in public spaces, in the context of night-time leisure. It offers a space where it is possible to provide thorough care in a comfortable, reliable environment for people who have suffered any kind of violence or who wish to receive information and advice.
The current health situation and the measures applied in regard to night-time leisure in private spaces, means that a greater number of people are expected to congregate in certain areas of the city during the night. The Front Marítim area is usually an area for socialisation, where a large number of people congregate during the summer months and at weekends. It is also a tourist area.
The centre has a 4-person educational team specialising in gender violence and LGTBI-phobia, two members who remain at the point and two itinerant members who move around the area on foot.
Whenever necessary, the team activates a coordinated response protocol involving the Guàrdia Urbana and Mossos d’Esquadra police forces, health services and municipal care facilities.
