The LGBTI Centre temporarily suspends in-person cultural activities

21/10/2020 - 11:00

The measure complies with the latest indications made by Procicat and Barcelona City Council.

The new contention measures, which will be in force until 31 October, may be reviewed, according to how the epidemiological situation develops.

The LGBTI Centre has temporarily suspended in-person activities (courses, workshops, talks, conferences) in light of the increase in Covid-19 contagions. However, the programme has not been halted. Thanks to the actions carried out by the LGTBI Centre in recent months, most of the activities can be followed online, via YouTube, as all their projects have been designed with a hybrid format.

And you can also see the exhibition “Un sol moment. Relats sobre la identitat de gènere” [A single moment. Stories about gender identity] from your home, as this is a multimedia project available on the website. However, it is also still on display at the LGBTI Centre and you can visit it in person during the centre’s normal opening hours, always maintaining safety distances.

The latest Procicat restrictions also affect the programmes of organisations that use the LGBTI Centre’s facilities. Go to their websites to check which activities may have been suspended or postponed.

All of these new contention measures, which will be in force until 31 October, may be reviewed, according to how the epidemiological situation develops.
