3rd 2030 Agenda Meeting
The 3rd Agenda 2030 Conference, held on 14 and 15 December at Ca l'Alier, brought together experts, professionals and citizens to discuss strategies for the future to build a fairer and more sustainable city.
Over two days, we heard new perspectives, shared opinions and acquired knowledge on how to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
2023 marks the halfway point of the Agenda 2030's proposed journey. This first stage has been affected by various crises on a global scale, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the outbreak of several wars in the immediate vicinity of the European Union.
The conference reflected on the status of the SDGs at the global level with the presentation of the annual Agenda 2030 monitoring report, which reports on the 200 achievement indicators in the city.
European missions were also at the centre of the debate at the 3rd Agenda 2030 Conference, having been launched to address issues such as climate change or ocean health. Likewise, the economy was a very topical subject that led us to reflect on how to achieve a sustainable urban model.
Finally, the event also awarded different social, business and associative initiatives that strive to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals with the Barcelona Agenda 2030 Awards.
