As part of the local festival in Sants, traffic will be unable to circulate using the roads around the route of the fire run on Saturday, 30 August. Mobility in the district will still be affected on Sunday, 31 August, as the street sections making of the route of the athletic and cycling events will also be closed to traffic.
All streets making up the route for the fire run will be closed to traffic during the event.
Fire run routes
Children’s fire run (6.30 pm to 7.30 pm)
- Start: Jardins de Can Mantega. Route: Joan Güell – Plaça de Sants. Finish: Placeta de Ramon Torres Casanova.
Festa Major fire run (from 9.30 pm to 11 pm)
- Start: Plaça d’Osca. Route: Riego – Autonomia – Watt – Sants – Gayarre – Ferreria – Guadiana – Rei Martí – Cros – Sant Crist – Plaça d’Ibèria. Finish: Plaça de Bonet i Muixí.
Traffic circulation prohibited
Roads making up the route of the children’s fire run and the festa major fire run will be closed to traffic in good time, as well as the streets of Sants and Creu Coberta, between Rbla. Brasil and C/ Moianès.
Depending on the intensity of traffic, the section of Creu Coberta between Pl. Espanya and Moianès may also be closed. In addition, traffic may be diverted to Tarragona – Consell de Cent.
Circulation prohibited from 8.30 pm and 30 August to midnight on 31 August in:
- Plaça d’Osca (whole square).
- Autonomia, from Riego to Muntadas.
- Watt, from Autonomia to Sants.
- Muntadas, from Espanya Industrial to Watt.
- Masnou, from Premià to Watt.
- Gayarre, from Sants to Ferreria.
- Ferreria, from Gayarre to Guadiana.
- Guadiana, from Ferreria to Rei Martí.
- Rei Martí, from Guadiana to Cros.
- Cros, from Rei Martí to Sant Crist.
- Sant Crist, from Cros to Plaça d’Ibèria.
- Plaça d’Ibèria (whole square).
- Plaça de Bonet i Muixí (whole square).
Main traffic diversions
- Madrid – Joan Güell: traffic from Av. Madrid will not be able to access Joan Güell.
- Badal-Sants: traffic from Sants, in the direction of Pl. Espanya, and traffic from Rbla. Badal (ascending and descending) will not be able to access Sants, in the direction of Pl. Espanya.
- Creu Coberta – Moianès: Traffic from Creu Coberta, in the direction of Pl. Sants, will be diverted along C/ Moianès.
- Sants–Olzinelles: During the children’s fire run, traffic from Sants, in the direction of L’Hospitalet, will be diverted along Pg. Sant Antoni – Galileu.
- During the main fire run, traffic from Sants, in the direction of Pl. Espanya, will be diverted along Pg. Sant Antoni – Galileu.
- Traffic from Olzinelles, when reaching Sants, will have to continue towards Pg. Sant Antoni – Galileu and will be unable to turn left in order to facilitate the diversions from Pl. Sants.
- Autonomia: Traffic from Autonomia, by C/ Salou, will be diverted towards Pg. Sant Antoni with Alcolea, using the services lane here.
Traffic circulation reversed
- Salou: between Eusebi Planas and Autonomia.
- Espanya Industrial: between Muntadas and Masnou.
- Alcolea: between the services lane of Autonomia and Pg. Sant Antoni.
Parking
Parking will be prohibited (including motorcycles on pavements) from 6 am on 30 August to midnight on 31 August in:
- Joan Güell (both sides), from Violant d’Hongria Reina d’Aragó to Sants.
- Watt (side nearest the Besòs), from Muntadas to Sants.
- Gayarre (side nearest the Besòs), from Sants to Sant Crist.
- Cros (side nearest the Llobregat), from Sant Crist to Rei Martí.
- Sant Crist (both sides), from Cros to Plaça d’Ibèria.
Disruptions to mobility for the events on Sunday, 31 August
Two events are being held for runners and cyclists on Sunday, 31 August, in the streets of Sants and Creu Coberta, between Olzinelles and Moianès. During the events, the sections being used will be closed to traffic. Both events use the same route.
