Given the improvement in weather conditions and the reduction in callouts by the Barcelona Fire Service in connection with today’s rain, the alert stage of the Basic Municipal Emergency Plan for Insufficient Drainage has been deactivated as of Thursday, 6 November.
The Barcelona Fire Service has provided services in 39 cases since this morning for incidents linked to the storm, basically technical assistance and rescuing people trapped in lifts.
The city’s 15 rainfall drainage tanks worked at 42% capacity on average throughout the episode, with two of them, the Taulat and Torrent d’Espingosa, reaching 100% capacity.
The parks will gradually be opened.
