Facilities

Barcelona LGBTI Centre occupies municipal premises with a total area of 1,255 square metres in a building at 22, Carrer Borrell, in the heart of the city’s Sant Antoni neighbourhood. Distributed around three floors, the space is notable for the openness and transparency that predominates in the different rooms. Moreover, this is a highly functional space that provides easy access for citizens and highlights the complementary nature of the services and activities provided by Barcelona LGBTI Centre and its member organisations.

To manage the Centre, office spaces are provided for workers, while a reception and information area is available for users. Overlooking the street is an exhibition space with a regular programme of activities open to all.

Facilities at the LGBTI Centre include an auditorium that seats 100 people and a multi-purpose room for up to 50 users. Five spaces are also equipped for the organisation of meetings and to provide advisory services to individuals or groups, as well as rooms for training and workshop activities, a family area and a space devoted to health.

Resident organisations are provided with work spaces where they can run their associations and establish their headquarters. In accordance with the conditions established by the civic management agreement, other LGBTI associations may also apply to use work areas without the need to become members.

The spaces for providing advice, the rooms for activities, functions and meetings, and the family and workshop areas are all shared spaces used by both the Centre services and programming teams and associations, whether resident or not.
