Uses of Time

The digital participation platform decidim.barcelona is a digital infrastructure that guarantees citizens' access to the different participation mechanisms of Barcelona City Council, such as processes, bodies, and citizen initiatives. It offers the possibility of participating online and asynchronously, thus favouring better time management for those interested in participating and taking part in the city's decisions.

Decidim.barcelona platform has been in operation since 2016, and it is a platform that is continually being improved, with the incorporation of new developments and functionalities. One of the obstacles to the use of decidim.barcelona by citizens is the digital divide. In this sense, participation support points have been set up in all the districts of the city's participation processes. It is expected that this support will be extended in the future.
