Uses of Time

The adoption of new models of time management is an imperative for companies and organisations that want to promote more efficient, egalitarian, healthy and sustainable workplaces. The Advice Service for Companies on Equality and Time Organisation offers free, personalised support and accompaniment to meet this challenge. 

• With a maximum duration of 5 hours, companies and organisations in the city will receive advice on how to promote a new culture of time that is healthier and more egalitarian, as well as more efficient and sustainable, according to their peculiarities and needs. 
• The recommendations include guidelines for introducing flexible working time measures, enhancing co-responsibility, healthy shift organisation, time habits and meal times, and measures to facilitate more social time for workers, among others.  

The service was created in 2021 as a result of an extension of the Equality Advice Service, which since 2017 has been offered by the Directorate of Gender Services and Time Policies through the Business Service Office of Barcelona Activa (OAE). With the inclusion of a specific aspect on time management, Barcelona City Council reinforces its commitment to an associative and business fabric that puts people's needs at the centre.
