Institutional commitment
The Barcelona City Council, as the institutional body that promotes and coordinates the the Time Agreement, is committed to:
- To disseminate the principles, objectives and actions of the Time Agreement to social and economic organizations and citizens.
- To support the entities that are part of the Time Agreement through specific actions aimed at them such as advice, training, exchange of practices, among others.
- To act as a reference in the promotion of the objectives of the Time Agreement through the implementation of public policies on time.
- To collaborate proactively with other supra-local, regional, national or international organizations that share the objectives of the Time Agreement and defend the right to time.
- To continuously monitor the Covenant of Time and evaluate its evolution.
- Provide the necessary resources for the fulfillment of these commitments.
Likewise, the Barcelona City Council is committed to different actions to advance the right to time at the local, regional and international level through the following commitments:
- To advance, as a signatory organization of the Pact for the Timetable Reform - Objective 2025, in the acquired commitments, through the implementation of actions that improve the organization and uses of time both internally in the A in the acquired commitments, through the implementation of actions that improve the organization and uses of time both internally in the City Council and towards the citizenship.
- To actively participate in the Local and Regional Network of Governments for Time Policies, taking part in its activities and exchanging experiences and knowledge with member organizations.
- To advance in the commitments acquired as a signatory organization of the Barcelona Declaration on Time Policies including the active participation in the different working groups derived from it, the presence in annual meetings, and the development of time policies in its field of competence and within the framework of the Time Agreement.
