On-Foot Mobility Plan
On-foot mobility, often connected to care tasks and everyday mobility, tends not to be considered very much in urban planning. This plan aims to highlight city residents’ on-foot mobility needs as they go about their daily tasks. It focuses on infrastructures (both vertical and horizontal), shade, green zones, perception of safety, etc.
The care time associated with on-foot mobility is a central element that has shaped this plan.
A model has been established based on walking routes to workplaces such as schools, warehouses, public transport stops, medical centres, etc. The result of the model is a map that indicates the walking routes used for everyday tasks.
