Home Care Service

The Home Care Service covers the basic needs of elderly people in terms of care and nutrition, with the aim of increasing their independence, safety, and well-being at home (communication and emergency care, home adaptations).

The necessary support is provided to those receiving care so that they can continue to live in their own homes, with the necessary guarantees, for as long as possible or until they wish to do so.

During 2024, the basic care and feeding needs of 20,874 people in the city of Barcelona were covered.

Impact over time:

  • Reduction in unpaid workload and support for care.
  • Reduction in unwanted loneliness and/or strengthening of social support networks.
