Uses of Time

This measure contemplates the revision of library schedules and their adaptation to the reality of schedules and uses according to the type of library. 

This unification of schedules according to the type of library should allow a better organization of human resources, work schedules and more conciliatory breaks.

Since October 2021 that all the libraries in the city have responded the usual opening hours after the special schedules due to Covid-19, but the opening and closing times have been modified, maintaining the total opening hours. 

The opening hours have been advanced by half an hour. That is to say, the morning opening hours have been changed from 10 am to 9:30 am, and at noon from 2 pm to 1:30 pm. In the afternoon, it has been moved from 4:00 pm to 3:30 pm and the closing time in the evening has been moved to 8:00 pm in the case of libraries that closed at 8:30 pm and 8:30 pm for those that closed at 9:00 pm. 

This has been a first step in the process of having schedules that facilitate the reconciliation of library staff.

The schedules for the afternoon activities have also been advanced: 

• Family activities start between 5 and 5:30 pm
• Adult activities start between 18:00 and 18:30 pm
