Uses of Time

Though there are no concrete measures to this end in this plan, it does include two points that tackle the time perspective within the deployment of the new Barcelona Interculturality Plan:

• Point 1.3 provides for the creation of a cross-cutting map of inequalities in access to municipal services and facilities and the subsequent design, in accordance with this diagnosis, of specific adaptation plans and reformulation of services, procedures and facilities in order to guarantee universal access. Among the measures named is making working hours more flexible.
   
• Point 4.2, meanwhile, sets the goal of striving to expand spaces for participation, adapt them to new forms and create more informal ones, with a view to moving away from traditional participation spaces, which tend to promote a very specific type of participation.

The Department of Interculturality and Religious Pluralism is part of the Active Democracy Steering Committee, and it contributes to all participatory processes presented there in accordance with the aim set out in point 4.2 of the Plan.
