The Mystery of Lost Time

The activity “The Mystery of Lost Time” takes place in the 0-99 Play Area and in the Clariana de las Glorias, two iconic spaces in Barcelona that invite us to rethink how we use time in our communities. It is a fun, participatory activity aimed at families, focusing on how we use time and screens in our daily lives.

The activity combines games, symbolic dynamics, and spaces for reflection to explore how time is lived, distributed, and shared in the family and community, to rethink personal and family priorities, and take into account the impact of screen use on everyday well-being.

Through fun activities, children and families are helped to identify imbalances in time management, especially related to the use of electronic devices, while promoting intergenerational spaces for meeting and playing as a tool for reflecting on habits and the balance between digital and analog activities.

Finally, the activity is an opportunity to gather citizen input that can serve as a reference point for promoting public policies aimed at the healthy use of time and digital technologies.

The activity is promoted through the Time Pact and is part of the Government Measure for Digital Well-being in Barcelona: Towards a Digitally Empowered, Critical, and Free Citizenship, which promotes actions to encourage conscious, healthy, and equitable use of time and digital technologies.

Time impacts:

  • Raising awareness and knowledge about the uses of time.
